Uzbekistan exported textiles worth more than $2 billion
It became known that following the results of 8 months of this year, Uzbekistan earned more than $2 billion from textile exports. The Agency for Statistics of the Republic of Uzbekistan spoke about this.According to the data provided, in the period from January to August 2023, Uzbekistan sold $2.1 billion worth of textiles abroad. Compared to the same period last year, this figure decreased by 3.7%.
In the structure of exports of textile products, the main share is occupied by finished textile products (41.8%), as well as yarn (40.0%).
The department’s report notes that during the period under review, 571 types of Uzbek textile products were sold to 54 countries around the world.
