The foundation of a textile cluster has been laid in Azerbaijan

Implementation of a new textile cluster project by LLC “Textile Horizon” with the participation of Uzbek business has begun in the Mingachevir Industrial Park of Azerbaijan.

The foundation-laying ceremony for the production complex took place on September 26 with the participation of the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.

The event was attended by Ilham Aliyev, Chairman of the Board of LLC “Azersheker” Nasib Islamzade, and Chairman of the Uzbek company Global Textile Group Musaffar Razakov. By pressing a button, they launched the construction of the new enterprise.

The founders of LLC “Textile Horizon” are the Azerbaijani company “Azersheker,” the Uzbek company “Global Textile,” and the Azerbaijan-Uzbek Investment Fund.

The production complex will be located on an area of 11.2 hectares. The project provides for the creation of a full production cycle — from cotton cultivation to the production of lint, yarn, dyed fabric, and finished textile products.

The project is being implemented as part of the expansion of investment and industrial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan in the textile sector.
