UzTextile Expo Autumn’22 to Over Again Host Buyers and Professionals for Presentation of Autumn-Winter Collections

The International Textile and Fashion Industry Exhibition UzTextile Expo Spring`22 held this spring in Tashkent was a great success. It brought together, beneath the same roof, more than 120 companies and brands from nine countries including national stands of the Republic of Belarus, Turkiye, collective stands of India, Tajikistan and other countries. Over 100 manufacturers of Uzbekistan took part in the exhibition, ranging from flagship companies and cotton-textile clusters to small businesses, to fully meet the demands of the most sophisticated customers. More than 5,000 professional visitors, including 816 official buyers from 26 countries, visited the exhibition. Negotiations at the stands continued until late at night. The most of the buyers accounted for Russian companies and brands, private buyers, and well-known retail chains.
UzTextile Expo Autumn`22, the exhibition for autumn-winter collections to be held in Tashkent, October 12 to 14, at Uzexpocentre NEC (pavilions No. 1 and 2, outdoor exposition) is designed to demonstrate all the strengths of Uzbek textile and garment businesses with respect to manufacture of seasonal products.
The remarkable feature of the exhibition is that, for the first time in its history, it is the second UzTextile Expo to be held within a year with the prefix ‘Autumn’, as is customary in other major textile and fashion hubs where an exhibition shows seasonal innovations, technologies, and current trends in the production of clothing and textile products. An event of international standing, UzTextile Expo will once again present the achievements and innovations of Central Asian and global textile industry leaders along the entire production process chain: from yarn to finished apparel and accessories.
The autumn season exhibition will host 122 companies and brands from 7 countries: Belarus, China, India, Latvia, Russia, Turkiye, and Uzbekistan.
The Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 556 `On measures to further expand advanced processing and high value-added finished product output at textile and garment-and-knitwear facilities, as well as financial support of the exports thereof` was adopted on September 30, 2022. The document provides for increased exports of finished clothing and knitwear, encouragement and comprehensive support of domestic exporters.
As an indicator of the stimulating effect of the above Resolution, one can cite the fact that as compared to the spring figures where the share of domestic companies was 75%, the autumn exhibition shows the increase in the share up to 82% of the total number of participants. The exhibitors will present a wide range of products made from Uzbek cotton: yarns, fabrics, knitted fabrics, nonwovens; men`s, women`s and children`s clothing; hosiery, underwear, home textiles, and many more.
The autumn exhibition will once again host the National Pavilion of Turkiye, where manufacturers of home textiles, ready-made clothing, underwear, fabrics, knitted fabrics, and textile accessories and trims will present their products.
Inspired by the successful participation in this year’s spring exhibition, the leading companies of the Republic of Belarus, namely, Kamvol, Mogotex, and Orsha Linen Factory, will once again take part in the collective stand under the auspices of the Bellegprom Concern. Their stands will present a wide range of ready-made garments and fabrics made of cotton, linen, and wool, as well as technical and home textiles, and many more.
The collective stand of manufacturers from the Orenburg region of the Russian Federation, a debutant at the UzTextile Expo Autumn 2022 exhibition, will present a wide range of men`s and women`s outer garments (PALETO down coats); natural sheep wool and cotton products under the trademark of Holti; linen fabrics and overalls; products made from natural down.
The exhibition debutants also include a number of domestic manufacturers, namely, Hojaobod Fayz M, Anteks, Sulton Styles, Real-Tex, By Select, Vobkent Tola Klaster, Namangan Paxta Teks, Ahsan Apparel, Narimteks, and others.
At their stands, the regular exhibition participants, such as, Osborn Textile, Ideal, Nil-Granit (Samo), Samarkand Apparel, Saff Textile, Zelal Tekstil, Bahmal Group, Alliance Textile, Indorama Kokand Textile, and others, will traditionally present high-quality textiles and clothing to domestic and foreign buyers.
Also traditionally, a buyer programme will be implemented, with more than 100 purchasing companies expected to negotiate with Uzbek manufacturers on placing sourcing orders and imports of textile products and raw materials from Uzbekistan.
