Uzbekistan, Cogetex discuss cooperation issues
On 27 August 2020, with the assistance of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Kingdom of Belgium, as well as the Uztekstilprom Association, a meeting was organized in the format of an online video conference with representatives of the Belgian company Cogetex.
In addition to representatives of departments and organizations, domestic producers took part in the negotiations: Uztex, Textile Texnology Group, BCT Denim, Bahmal Group, etc.
The parties noted that this event contributes to the further development of bilateral relations in the textile sector.
During the negotiations, the main topic of discussion was the increase in the volume of export supplies of Uzbek textile and garment and knitted products to Belgium, in particular yarn. General Director of the Belgian company Eric Babikoff noted the prospects and opportunities of domestic manufacturing enterprises.
As a result of the negotiations, it was decided to establish an operational exchange of necessary information in order to further develop and strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the textile sector.
