On 21 November 2018, the Uztekstilprom Association organized a seminar with the participation of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Fund for Agricultural Support under the Ministry of Finance, the Center for Seed Development under the Ministry of Innovative Development of Uzbekistan, Uzagrokimiohimoyya and Uzagrotehsanoatholding and a number of representatives of institutions, enterprises of cotton-textile factories and higher educational institutions.

In pursuance of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 25 January No. 53 “On measures to introduce modern forms of organization of cotton and textile production” and 19 September 2018 No. 744, the Association "Uztextileprom" carries out practical work on the introduction of modern forms of cotton and textile production.

At the same time, in order to ensure the fulfillment of these tasks, the Uztekstilprom Association organized a seminar on the theme “Introduction of modern forms of cotton-textile production - analysis of results in 2018 and priorities for 2019”.

The main objective of this seminar is development of modern methods of organizing cotton-textile production and the introduction of innovative technologies.

Introduction of innovations in agriculture primarily involves the introduction of modern forms of agricultural production based on the concept of “smart agriculture”, which allows the rational use of soil, irrigation and other natural resources, introducing automation systems for the agricultural industry, including innovative ideas, developments and technological improvements, which will help ensure the food security of the country, as well as to facilitate the implementation of priority x directions of the development strategy of the industry.

The seminar participants were provided with detailed information on problems in the field of agriculture, on measures to overcome them and on joint work with science and education in solving problems.
