UZTEXTILE EXPO SPRING 2023 PRESENTS SPRING-SUMMER TRENDS IN SEWING, KNITTING AND FASHION INDUSTRY
The 6th UzTextile Expo Spring 2023 International Exhibition of Textile and Fashion Industry opens its doors to industry specialists from May 29-31, at the Uzexpocentre NEC, in Pavilions 1 and 2.
The exhibition will be held as part of the Tashkent Textile Week, which also includes a briefing on “Uzbekistan - a New Center for Safety, Quality and Compliance”, a Joint Forum of Uzbekistan Textile and Garment Industry Association and Confederation of Employers of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the ILO, trainings on the latest trends and industry news, business and press tours, as well as B2B meetings with the international top companies.
The exhibition is organised by Iteca Exhibitions International Exhibition Company and its partner ICA Eurasia Group in cooperation with the Textile Product Marketing and Promoting Agency under the Uzbekistan Textile and Garment Industry Association.
UzTextile Expo is a unique platform for meetings with numerous Uzbek manufacturers and getting familiar with the latest industry innovations. The demand for the exhibition and interest in it of domestic and foreign market players facilitated expansion of its business programme and transformation into a seasonal event. Starting since 2022, UzTextile Expo has been hosting guests both in spring and autumn, and is the only exhibition event in Uzbekistan held twice a year.
The textile and clothing industry remains to be one of the most dynamically developing sectors of the national economy taking a leading position in implementation of international technologies and quality standards. This industry used to supply products mainly to the domestic market, however now it has turned into an export-oriented one with an increasing volume of supplies to different countries every year. The country began to actively increase exports to the EU countries having received the status of a beneficiary of the GSP + preference programme in 2021. This year, Uzbekistan plans to increase exports up to $5.0 billion and implement 76 new projects, as well as create 26,000 new jobs.
UzTextile Expo being a creative exhibition event, develops in accordance with the on-going changes and demonstrates a trend towards steady growth and expansion of its geography of participants and guests. Last year around 120 companies took part in the autumn exhibition 2022, while UzTextile Expo Spring 2023 has gathered 160 companies and brands from 10 countries, including: Republic of Belarus, China, Germany, India, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkiye, and Uzbekistan.
The exhibition will once again demonstrate many advanced developments and technologies, current trends in the production of clothing and textile products. It will present achievements and innovations along the entire technological chain - from yarn to ready-made clothing and accessories.
For the first time, the National Pavilion of Germany takes part in the UzTextile Expo Spring 2023 exhibition. In total 10 companies will present services for testing and certification of all types of textile products, for the development, production and processing of polymers, as well as ready-made sleepwear and leisure, home textiles, known throughout the world for their quality under the brand "Made in Germany".
The participants from India (14 companies), China (49 companies) and Turkiye (15 companies) will perform with their traditional broad participation of home textiles, ready-made clothes, underwear, fabrics, knitted fabrics, and textile accessories.
Being inspired by the successful participation with their collective stand under the auspices of the Bellegprom Concern in the spring and autumn exhibitions of last year, the leading companies "Kamvol", "Mogotex", "Orsha Flax Mill" from the Republic of Belarus will once again take part in it. At their stands, each visitor will be able to get familiar with a wide range of ready-made clothes and fabrics made of cotton, linen and wool, technical and home textiles, and etc.
The interest in this exhibition is growing from year to year. This year, Pakistan is among the debuting countries and will present yarn, fabrics and clothing.
We would like to emphasis participation of more than 60 manufacturers from Uzbekistan, ranging from flagships and cotton-textile clusters to small businesses presenting products to fully meet the needs of the most demanding customers. The following companies are among regular exhibitors: Osborn Textile, Ideal, Samarkand Apparel, Saff Textile, Zelal Tekstil, Bahmal Group, Global Textile Solutions, Barkas and others will traditionally present high-quality textile and clothing products for domestic and foreign buyers at their stands.
As always, an important role will be played by the annual special Buyer Programme, which provides ample opportunities for buyers, importers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers to find new suppliers of home and interior textiles; and for domestic manufacturers of finished textile products to establish contacts with foreign suppliers of fabrics. This year, more than 100 purchasing companies have already confirmed their arrival to negotiate with Uzbek manufacturers on the import of textile products and raw materials.
