The government will allocate $2 million for promoting textile products "Made in Uzbekistan" on marketplaces and for taking measures to support training on working with marketplaces.

Decree No. UP-6 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, dated January 16, 2025, "On additional measures for the development of the processing chain in the textile and garment industry."

According to the Decree, it is planned to increase the export of industry products to $7 billion by 2027, with exports to the USA and European countries reaching up to $500 million. The share of finished garment and knitwear products should account for 70% of total exports.

The following main support mechanisms have been defined:

Funds from the export of yarn and fabric will be fully transferred to the Industry Support Fund.

Starting from 2026, at least 80% of these funds (in 2025 – $15 million), as well as $15 million allocated for subsidizing the purchase of equipment, will be directed to commercial banks for financing the purchase of equipment for the production of fabric, textiles, and finished garments and knitwear products.

Loans in foreign currency for 7 years will be allocated to finance advance payments of 15% of the equipment cost, with an interest rate of 4% per annum.

Expenses related to obtaining international certificates will be covered.

$2 million will be allocated for the "Made in Uzbekistan" program to promote, place, and advertise products on marketplaces. Measures will also be taken to support training workers of industry companies on how to work with marketplaces.

A Special Textile Industrial Zone will be created in the Namangan region, where special legal, tax, customs, and currency regimes will be established.
