In 2024, textile production in Uzbekistan increased, but exports decreased by 6.7%.

According to the State Statistics Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the country produced textile products worth 89.5 trillion sums and clothing worth 33.8 trillion sums (a total of 123.3 trillion sums), which accounted for 16.4% of the manufacturing industry's share by weight.

In 2023, the total production of textile products and clothing amounted to 94.6 trillion sums.

At the same time, a decrease in the export volume of textile products compared to 2023 is noted, dropping by 6.7%. As of January-December 2024, it amounted to $2.87 billion. In the structure of textile product exports, yarn (43.2%) and finished textile products (39.2%) make up the largest share.
