Andijan garment industry reaches record high
In 2025, Andijan region became the absolute leader in clothing production, one of the largest industries in Uzbekistan. According to the National Statistics Committee, last year the country's large enterprises produced clothing worth 43.1 trillion UZS.
This figure represents a 21.7 percent increase compared to 2024. The largest share of this industry belongs to the Andijan region – here, products worth 19.7 trillion UZS were produced.
Production by region:
- Andijan region – 19.7 trillion UZS
- Namangan region – 3.9 trillion UZS
- Tashkent region – 3.6 trillion UZS
- City of Tashkent – 2.9 trillion UZS
- Fergana region – 2.8 trillion UZS
- Navoiy region – 2.1 trillion UZS
- Kashkadarya and Bukhara regions – 1.8 trillion UZS each
- Other regions – less than 1 trillion UZS
As can be seen, the Andijan region accounts for about 46 percent of the total output of the country in this sector. This indicates the region's high potential in the garment and light industry, availability of labor, and production capacities.
